Enjoy the impressive projections across the entire dome of the Zeiss planetarium; experience modern theatre in the Theaterhaus Jena and bring history and culture to life in Schiller’s garden house, the city museum or the Romantikerhaus, the museum of Romanticism.

The university sports association also offers a large number of sporting opportunities; the Jena Paradies city park offers recreation and sports facilities, and the Galaxsea leisure pool provides an outlet for your energy as well as relaxation. Shop in the city centre in the many retail outlets of the GoetheGalerie or the “neue mitte”; visit the 128m-high panoramic platform of the JenTower, and don’t forget to drop in at the Wagnergasse, whose friendly cafés are an inviting place to spend your time.
